This improved shuttle launched into orbit by piggyback on heavy rocket like Russian "Buran" shuttle since its RS-25 engines has been replaced by ion drive engine. It may be launched unmanned without payload and automatically dock to its home base at ISS. In orbit maneuvering was performed by improved OMS and RCS thrusters, the ion drive engine only be used for long ferry flight from ISS to Lunar Gateway. High power solar panel used to power the ion drive. The solar panel was placed on the cargo door replacing the radiator since radiator is not needed anymore in this advanced system. 8 detachable boosters may be installed in orbit. These boosters is used to move from low Earth orbit to GSO or to escape Earth orbit for Moon-bound flight. ISS and Lunar Gateway can provide in-orbit refuel for these boosters. The ion drive engine used to maintain velocity during the flight between Earth and Moon. For this mission, additional external Xenon tank can be attached. This spacecraft was designed to stay long in space, but it can also used to bring cargo from space to Earth and landing on the space port. There are 7 airframes built, the OV-201 Constitution prototype and other 6 production model named after Mercury capsule.
